i'm not ashamed to admit that i watch The Hills. i am also not ashamed to admit that I would probably not last a minute working for Kelly Cutrone....i lovingly call her "Kelly Cut-throat"......cuz she's been in the biz for 20 years, and you've been here for 5 minutes.....SHE PLAYS NO GAMES. though i could never work for her, i could always sit and watch her pretty much air out the stupid people who work for her.

as i was listening to this dope lady gaga song, i heard her utter this name in french, so i wanted to check it out....

the hat seems like a little bit of a stretch.......and so does the price. i think i'll just take these back to the "not for teej" department and stick to thrifting and american apparel for now.

SPIT YO GAME SATURDAY......

why does it seem like almost every weekend since i've been in college has been somewhat of a waste?

saturday, BSU, the Black Student Union, hosted a rap battle/dance party....nuff said. i  have no idea why i went....i'm thinking it was somewhere between showing my support for the organization or trying to mingle with my own kind, given that there so few african american students at the school.......anyways, i was there and somehow, amongst my own, i managed to stuck out like a sore thumb!!! the rap battle was like the ones that you see on youtube--- you know....with the scruffy, untamed, and dingy lookin' guys. i mean they've got skills, but they're just too....ummm......harcore for the industry, so instead they take it to the streets. but this time it was slightly less entertaining than that....there was a point when one guy didn't even rap and to add insult to injury, he was wearing a prom suit......that just kinda threw us all for a loop. we don't even know who won.

then came the dance party, which was kinda like watching a car accident in slow motion....there were girls who danced with girls....and only girls. i'm not one to judge, but come on....i took the time to come out, so show me some respect AND GIRATE ON MY PELVIS!!! i was extremely disappointed, so i went back to my dorm and tried to figure out where the rest of my night would take me.....which wasn't very far seeing as i stayed in that same spot talking with roomie about...i don't even know what...i wonder if he knows that i fake listen to him sometimes?...probably.

DEAR ROOMIE...

please spare me your encyclopedic "knowledge" of everything...i'm pretty sure i didn't ask you anything about nitrogen or whatever you were going on about.... and if i have to hear "sweet child o' mine" by guns n' roses one more time, i might throw a rock at your computer....try playing warcraft now!!....or whatever it is that you play for 3 hours at a time. also, turn off the AC!!! i think fall is well underway, it is not gonna be 90 degrees anytime soon. and there is no need for 5 different alarms in the morning! how 'bout you get like me and have classes in the afternoon?? and i wish u would stop pretending that you don't notice that smell coming from your shoes......that fake febreeze isn't doing the trick anymore....step ur game up and get some odor eaters!!!

....thanks for the blueberry pop tarts tho...i had to air you out real fast.....dorm life just got real.

weekend woes....

.....as u can see, i had some spare time on my hands...some of which was spent on photobooth...

but that's not all ladies and gentlemen....i was in for a pretty sick weekend....or so i thought....

my parents went to puerto rico for their 21st anniversary, so i had the house to myself. initially, i was thinkin' "LET'S HAVE A PARTY", but to my surprise, there were no ummm....."party favors", so that ship had slowly sunk. my next move was to set up an impromptu date with a nice lady from school. this went well except for the fact that she didn't know how to get back on her own and i wasn't about to let her go back alone. so me, being the smooth gentleman that i am, offered to let her chill at my place and maybe we could ummm...."study" together, but sadly she had other work to catch up on back at her dorm so i went back to campus with her. luckily, i had another young lady there whose always down to chill, but sadly she was at a shwayze concert.....DAMN! so, to put the icing on the cake, i look to my boys, one of which has a car, to see about getting me home and the night was still young...well at least it was through college eyes...so, i figured, we'd all chill at my place and try our hands with some young women....no pun intended. but as with all other plans that night, this one failed miserably. the guys never came through and as the saying goes "if you want something done, do it yourself".....and so i did. i had to look to other means of transportation. THANK GOD FOR R.As THAT DRIVE because i would've been S.O.L. i got home safely at the reasonable hour of 12:30....i definitely felt like i was taylor swift and kanye just kept interrupting my weekend. FML....done.

sooo, today as i was walking to my next class from the campus convenient store, i decided to throw away my gum wrapper. to my surprise, a squirrel.....yes, a squirrel ladies and gentlement, leaps out and scurries off into the wilderness ( campus lawn). it scared the bejesus out of me. i had to have jumped at least 2 feet. anyone who was there, probably thought i had rabies or was some kind of maniac. so i did what i do best -- laugh it off and pretend as if it never happened. then, i realized that it made a god story so i facebooked, tweeted, and blogged about it. the end : )

Remembering 9/11

It doesn't even feel like it was 8 years ago, but it was....damn time sure does fly!! i can remember some things about that year. i was in fifth grade and strangely enough, the people i was around seemed really chill about it......like, a plain just went through a friggin building!!! but being only 10 years old at the time, in a completely different state and so disconnected from it all, the most we were worried about was getting to leave school early. to this day, there are people who are still trying to get their lives back together from that situation. i can't really relate to anyone who went through it....all i can do is think about if i was there, shake my head and say DAMN, THAT'S CRAZY!
